The Campaign

 

For our second campaign with Marriott International and in partnership with Heineken, EchoMany supported a 2 part competition campaign. The competition offered customers in Marriott Hotel bars the chance to win one of 5 grand prizes or an “instant win” prize of a buy-one-get-one-free voucher for bottles of Heineken.

 

This campaign saw Marriott UK achieve the highest engagement rates they have ever seen on a Facebook campaign.

How It Worked

In-bar and online, Marriott UK promoted their Grand Prize Draw and Instant-Win competition, which directed customers to a Messenger Bot Chat.

The chat was initiated by the customer typing #Heineken into a Messenger Chat with Marriott UK on Facebook.

After a series of simple questions (e.g.verifying the customer’s age), users were entered into the ‘Instant Win’ element of the competition.

Each customer would automatically receive a static image, personalised with their name and letting them know whether they were a winner of a ‘Buy one, get one free’ voucher for a Heineken Beer. They also received additional information about the grand prize draw.
